New 2011 Chevy Cruze Commercials Debut Featuring Tim Allen

We told you last week on our Harnish Auto Family Facebook page that GM Marketing Chief Joel Ewanick had brought TV Star and Detroit car guy Tim Allen on board as the new voice of Chevrolet.  The Tool Man has made his first appearance in spots for the new Chevy Cruze.  The 2011 Cruze, a replacement for the outgoing Chevrolet Cobalt, is Chevy’s latest offering to combat foreign makes in the hotly contested small passenger car segment.  The new Cruze has received much critical acclaim and has been a huge sales success in the European Market, which debuted many months before the stateside release.  The news ads feature much of the praise heaped upon Cruze by independent thind party review publications such as Autoblog.com and Automobile Magazine.  One ad also highlights a direct comparison to the competing Toyota Model, with the ad shaped as a “Dear Corolla” letter and highlighting many features the Cruze offers that Corolla does not.  We can’t wait to hear Tim’s take on the rest of the vehicles in Chevy’s lineup.
